Reflection from No. 2
I think the best advice/feedback I got was to double check the video before submitting. Apparently my pitch had cut off after about 30 seconds, so I couldn't get feedback on my entire pitch. In hindsight I definitely should have checked to make sure there was nothing wrong with the upload. Other than that, I got great feedback about how I had improved in my delivery since the first elevator pitch. People noticed that my energy and confidence were higher and that overall I showed more excitement and intrigue. This made me excited to give it another shot.

What did you changed:
I was really quite surprised by how much my pitch had improved from the first time to the third. The first time I had to film at least 10 takes to get one whole clip where I didn't stumble on my words or look like I was obviously reading from a script. Even the second time I still had to do about five or so takes to get it just right. This time, I only had to do two takes, and I didn't struggle with stumbling over my words or missing any lines because I was pretty well memorized. Since the first time I also shortened my pitch quite a bit. The first time it was really difficult to stay under the 90 second mark, so I was rushing my words and speaking super fast to try to fit it all in. The second time I condensed it down quite a bit and gave my business the name Plantiful to make people feel more of a connection. By the third time it all just flowed so much better, and I was able to be even more animated this time because I was so much more comfortable.

  1. Hi Grace! Amazing job on the presentation! You had such a great attention grabber by pointing out all the hidden downsides of eating fast-food. As you mentioned, eating fast-food on a regular basis can have serious detrimental effects on both your health and the environment. For this reason, I believe Plantiful will be a great success, especially on college campuses. Often, when I am looking for a quick, cheap and healthy meal, there aren't many, if any, options. You can provide college kids with a service that is truly needed. Overall, you really captivated the audience throughout and clearly delivered your message!

  2. Hi Grace,
Your pitch has improved so much since the first one. From the first few seconds on, you seemed so confident and it seemed almost memorized. I think you did a great job of naming your company and providing all of the necessary facts that are required for potential customers. Overall, you ave very good confidence and presentation skills.

  3. I love the confidence you have in front of the camera! I can tell you practiced and focused on more hand gestures. I think giving the restaurant a name really ties the idea together. The statistics make me realize how big the market actually is. I enjoyed the nonverbal communication and would want to hear more about your company after watching this! Great job!

  4. Hi Grace, I really enjoyed watching this video. It seemed like you were very knowledgeable about the subject area. It seems like you did a lot of research regarding your potential customer. You shared a lot of information about that topic. I think its very important to be able to understand who will be buying your product. I think if you are able to successfully master this skill you will only see positive results. You definitely seem like you are on the right track. Great job!
